Magellan delisted from NYSE
Washington Business Journal story - "Shares of Magellan Health Services, the Columbia-based behavioral managed care company, have been delisted from the New York Stock Exchange, and will trade on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board as of Wednesday." Magellan's stock, which has plummeted in recent weeks, did not meet the exchange's minimum requirements.

Report demands better protection for people in research trials
British Medical Journal story on a report recommending better protection for participants in clinical research published by the Institute of Medicine. The study "recommends the creation of a human research participant protection programme, which would, in effect, replace the existing institutional review boards. It also recommends improving the informed consent process, collecting data nationally on the adverse events that occur in clinical studies, and compensating research participants who are injured."

Brain Shrinkage In ADHD Not Caused By Medications
ScienceDaily story on a 10-year study by National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) scientists which found that the brains of children and adolescents with ADHD "are 3-4 percent smaller than those of children who don't have the disorder – and that medication treatment is not the cause."

Canada Needs a National Action Plan on Mental Illness and Mental Health
