This is the statue thing out in front of Buckingham palace. I should have put it up with the rest of the London stuff, but I forgot I had it. The rest of the pictures are from Milan.

The mountains below are the French Alps while I was approaching Milan from London.

Here is the beautiful central train station in Milan. Besides the Duomo, it was the only other cool thing we saw.

This is the inside The Galleria, which is right next door to the Milan Duomo, pictured below.

The Galleria from outside -- truly amazing.

The Duomo was a little disappointing because there was scaffolding over the entire front of the church for renovations, which is why the only picture I have is of the side. The church is gigantic though, the third largest in the world. We tried getting a peek inside, but I was wearing shorts and Erin was wearing a halter top, and those are both big no-no's I guess.

I got in to Milan yesterday and I guess Erin and I were both at the train station pretty early on, but we didn't find each other until about 3 hours later. We then took a cab to the Cisco offices so I could settle in, but it turned out the cab ride there was 33 euros, and coming back it was 50 euros! And to top it off, the place was closed -- Italians, not even security guards, don't work on Sundays I guess. We booked a room at a 1 star hotel that was basically a room with a bed and a shower. The guide book said it was 33 euros a night, but the bill turned out to be for 72 euros. So far this trip to Italy has been quite expensive! Right now I'm on a train heading from Milan (boring city, by the way!) to La Spezia. Then tomorrow night we're heading to Rome where I'll try to get in to an office (again). No taxis this time though!
