GLUE 4.0 beta 2 is due out later this week. it's by far the most powerful and easy-to-use version so far, which is exciting. meanwhile, GAIA is chugging along nicely.

there was an interesting article re: "supersizing" of american meals on CNN today. when i was in europe last week, the difference between average US and european meal size was very obvious. a US meal portion is usually at least twice the size of a european meal. my favorite lunchtime restaurant, chammps, boasts the motto "quality and quantity". supporting the national trend towards obesity hardly seems something to emphasize. i hate to think what the cost to the US is in terms of medical bills and the self-esteem issues that go hand-in-hand with weight problems.
