had yet another great time in D.C. at the end of last week. the trees were in bloom, and the people were as friendly and interesting as ever. one of my favorite bars there is called "Felix", which plays james bond movies non-stop.

there's been some discussions about the phrase "Enterprise Service Bus" recently. i really don't like the term, because it sounds so linear and centralized. busses in computers tend to be bottlenecks, because all the traffic is passing through a single conduit. that's why i prefer something akin to "service fabric", because it allows messages and processing to be completely distributed.

our interest group is about to break the 2,100 mark. it's always fun adding another 100 people to the group, which currently takes about one month to achieve.

the javalobby.org is playing a TME/GLUE banner right now. it doesn't mention the details, but the Java Lobby Community Platform is using GLUE for all its web services support.
