Common Sense Technology: No one is saying that yet. But it has come to light that FirstEnergy, the company in the crosshairs of the power outage investigation, did succumb to the MS SQL "Slammer" worm back in January of this year. Prior to MS Blast, the MS SQL worm was considered the worst worm attack ever. The MS SQL worm disabled a nuclear power plant safety monitoring system in Ohio. According to the report the SQL Slammer took offline systems at other utilities too.
