Members of Parliament will now have the opportunity to query the Justice Minister over the proposed appointments to the Supreme Court of Canada. The judges will not be subject to hearings or direct questioning. [The Globe And Mail: National]
The first two candidates to be subject to the new process are from the Ontario Court of Appeal, Madam Justice Charron and Madam Justice Abella. These should be two excellent additions to the Supreme Court
