Sunday L. and I had brunch at the Hilton then went for a lengthy (for us) walk on the Coastal Trail---a chance to catch up and visit.
Today I was so tired of paper work that I put on my grubby sweats and cleaned our bathroom from top to bottom. I threw out prescriptions that were dated 1982.
I wish I had a good book to read. I think I'll e-mail Daughter, who is in New York with SB attending the Matisse/Picasso exhibit, and ask to borrow Bel Canto. Assuming A. can find it.
I'm envious of their seeing the exhibit. The best I can do is take this virtual tour .

Saturday We had our last meeting until August---Alaska Chapter-NAIC. Such a great group of people to work with.
I met Paula for lunch. She gave me some Girl Scout info about personal finance badges. Monday, I want to mail my proposal for two sessions at the summer Girl Scout encampment in June at the Palmer Fairgrounds. The presentation will be an Alaska Chapter-NAIC one. If accepted, then I'll have to come up with a way to make it an Oh, Wow experience.

Friday One of those days where everything took twice as long as expected. The letter recruiting a local company to become an NAIC corporate member and inviting them to participate in our Investors Fair as a sponsor took 3 hours to compose and package with materials instead of the anticipated 1 hour.
I went to World Affairs luncheon. It was election of Board members day---8 openings and 8 candidates, including moi. They passed out a four line bio about each candidate but no introductions or anything else. I watched them count ballots (I think that's what they were doing) out of the corner of my eye while listening to the speaker. However, no announcement. I wonder when I will know. I will be a new member on the board. There were write in places and I noted that one person at my table did not vote for everyone. It's possible that a write in candidate could win. I guess I've been too indoctrinated not count my chickens before they hatch to accept the fact that my election is a done deal.
Stopped by NYE Toyota to get a new headlight package---not 30 minutes, but 60 minutes---and $230 later, I drove away with a new headlight installed.
And so the day went on and on---At 10:00 p.m. I was where I had thought I would be at 4:00 p.m.
