---- thought I should let you know about this fall's Economics and Stocks for
Teachers class that I am once again teaching.
Economics and Stocks for Teachers is a 2-credit class ($120 plus $14.95 for the text). It gives you valuable, practical, how-to information you can use in your own lives as well as share with your students. The dates are Oct. 7, 8, 9, 21, 22, and 23. For the two Saturday classes we will be on the UAA campus in the Business Ed Building. The Thursday and Friday afternoon location is yet to be determined. If you would like to host it at your school so you don't have to travel, you will receive a complementary copy of the text----a $14.95 value. I look forward to meeting and working with you. Also, friends, spouses, and co-workers are welcome.
We will be covering the basics of the stock market, stock market lingo,
mutual funds, individual stocks, why and how companies go public, how stock exchanges work, five proven guidelines for choosing quality stocks at the right price, when to sell, choosing a broker, and online sources for stock information.
