Is the world still turning?
Since I have eliminated all political news and rhetoric from my life, I can only assume the world is still out there.
Are there Debates tonight? Fortunately, I teaching an Econ/Stock Market class tonight from 4:00 to 8:00.
In thinking about the "debates" and all the hype---the news media is like a circus barker tantalizing people to congregate and watch a collision.
A huge crowd has encircled a pit to watch two vehicles ram each other. The crowd is glued to the spectacle waiting for the crash and the destruction of one of the vehicles. Will it simply be a disabling crash, will one roll over and end up side down, or will one crash and burn with half of the crowd wildly yelling and screaming at its demise?
I refuse to take part is this spectacle. It has nothing to do with substance, ideas, or issues that haven't already been stated, restated, and non stated for six months. It's not even about who will be left standing. It is about who can take down the other. I refuse to participate!
