Checked the mail feature to see if readers can send me mail; also checked pictures which is still not workingl; upstreaming seems to work but it's not coming up on my home page :-( - Decided to give that a break and work now on the next two things to figure out: since I've set up My SIRLS Advisees and IT News as categories, interested students could subscribe to these newsfeeds (or the whole ASC Online) and then keep updated. Hmm...should I ask for volunteer testers? comment []11:07:46 AM     Also, if you've set up your categories as navigation links which each have different themes, then if you make a change in the main Home (for example add a new navigation link) it will propogate down to each category and new theme but not to individual stories in each. So, for  example, when I added IT News as a new link each of the links (actually each page by following links) under My SIRLS Advisees had to be regenerated. Glad I figured this out! I finally figured out that you must change and edit each category/theme page if you have them configured differently. Haven't had anytime to blog! (Parenthetical, personal notes: I worked almost 2 hours with my RA Gaurav Gupta and met Mark Kelly, my Spring 2002 Independent Studies student for the first time. Had an awesome conversation about all kinds of things ranging from JoDI and Eprints to UIA.  Went to the UA library to renew a journal checkout; I'm reading a special issue of Library Trends and since this is about 7 articles I can't finish it all in one evening. So, I've been schlepping the book everyday to the library for renewal. They have this crazy policy for journal checkouts that it has be renewed in person!!!) comment []8:58:26 AM
