There's an interesting article on ZDnet Anchordesk today about the problem with High Definition Television (HDTV). We were all supposed to be watching HDTV years ago. The problem is that it's expensive to broadcast because there aren't enough people that have HDTVs. People don't own HDTVs because they are expensive and there aren't enough broadcasters sending out the signals (because it is expensive to broadcast).

The article talks about the possibility of a $500 tax rebate to get you to purchase a HDTV...
What's in it for the government? 16 Billion in spectrum licensing.
