Alf, nice job on your thingummy. This method is dead nuts simple and juicer... definitely jucier.
"Inspired by Jon Udell's attempt at embedding calendar events and lifting data from XHTML pages, I made the little thingummy below which should work in most browsers. I think the idea is that if you add lots of metadata/markup to your XHTML, people can come along with their bookmarklets and gather it up for their own uses."

I rewired a Western Electric Model 500 Bell telephone yesterday to work with our newer lines. It certainly is nice to have a mechanical bell ring when someone calls.
Here is what I found:
However, in the process to find a schematic for the Model 500 C/D, I came across a class from Professor Randy Smye at Sheridan entitled "The Design of Everyday Things." There is quite a bit of well done mainstream design education here. (influenced by Donald Norman...)

Nice review of the Archos AV320 at Tom's Hardware. It is pretty expensive - $800 - $1100, but has some pretty cool features: Hardware MPEG4 encoding, 3.5 hour play time, 4" screen, divx, mp3, etc...
"Last year, Archos revolutionized the handheld world by offering the first hard disk video that was compatible with the MPEG-4 compression format. Today, Archos is back with an even more polished product that has a screen nearly 4 inches in size."

In the process of writing about Levittown at Outside Circle, I came across Philippe Starck's new product section on his website.
Starck is one of my favorite designers and had a tendancy to team up with different companies to produce attainable products.
Starck with Oregon Scientific produces a collection of products that marries my love for modern design with my interest in weather.
Although only available in the UK, I'm hoping to find out if this device will work with my current US Oregon Scientific weather gear.
The one to the left combines a radio controlled clock with a barometer, thermometer, hygrometer, moon phase, tides, AM / FM radio, and projector.

BBC News: Web guru fights info pollution.
"The entire ideology of information technology for the last 50 years has been that more information is better, that mass producing information is better," he says. But the net is now so much an machine with all the answers instantly, it has mutated into a "procrastination apparatus..."
