I added a link in my High Dynamic Range (HDR) section to a page where Ted Chavalas demonstrates his use of PhotoMatrix with a Panoscan rig to maximize HDR. The other interesting tidbit is that the makers of PhotoMatrix are reportedly working on an OS X version.

In other HDR news, check out the sample photos from the new Fuji F700 digital camera with SuperCCD SR (Thanks to imaging resource).

Ever wondered what happens to a Nikon CoolPix 5000 once you shoot image DSCN9999.JPG? That happened to me recently, and I expected they were preserving DOS 3.1 compatitility in the file name and would wrap back to zero. That is the case. So how do you manage a set of 10,000+ images that don't have unique filenames? Adding another key makes sense, but not camera name. The date looks good.

Which reminds me--Macintouch posted a note by Shannon Calvert who put 3000 images in iPhoto and then had a problem with corrupted JPEGs. Hopefully an isolated glitch.

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
