I see Google is promoting Picasa on their homepage:

http://www.picasa.com/google/?promo=hpp2

"Picasa. Everything you need to enjoy your digital photos in a single software product:

  • Auto-transfer photos from your digital camera.
  • Organize and find pictures in seconds.
  • Edit, print, and share photos with ease.
  • Create slideshows, order prints and more!
Downwload Picasa 1.6 for free." Works on Windows only.

Not clear if this software will handle NEF files for all the DSLRs.

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
