I seem to recall that QTVRAS outputs stitched images sideways to overcome a limitation of the PICT file format allowing images no more than 4096 pixels wide. However it seems like the PICT format of today can handle 5461 pixel wide images, but no more (and 5461 is surely an odd number).

That suggests QTVRAS cannot stitch panoramas with source images taller than 4096 pixels (or 5461). Is that true, and which one is it?

If so, can Realviz Stitcher handle 5000, 6000, or 7000 pixel tall source images?

I'll post the results here.
