PangeaVR source code released: "Pangea Software on Monday announced that the source code for its PangeaVR plug-in, which was released last Friday, is now available on its Web site. PangeaVR is a free Web browser plug-in that enables viewing QuickTime VR panoramas at frame rates of 150 to 350 fps (frames per second). It's compatible with Safari, Netscape and Mozilla, but it requires that Web pages include HTML code written specifically for its use. Pangea notes that it doesn't override QuickTime as the default viewer for .mov files. The developer is looking for others who can port PangeaVR to Windows and Linux."

Purpose |
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
