JavaScript Scripting Guide for QuickTime : "JavaScript can interact with the QuickTime browser plug-in or ActiveX control in several ways. You can use JavaScript in a browser to detect whether QuickTime is installed. You can also make QuickTime movies that issue JavaScript commands to the browser, optionally making use of functions defined in a surrounding web page. And for browsers that support two-way communication between JavaScript and plug-ins, you can use JavaScript to query and control QuickTime directly."

David Hyatt is asking for regressions.

Here's one that doesn't involve Java or Flash. It's the DISPLAY:NONE bug.

Using Safari v1.3, click on the one link on the page at: http://www.virtualparks.org/safaricrash.html

and the browser crashes every time in my experience. But it doesn't crash in any other browser, including Safari v1.2.x

"

Regression Roundup: "

The purpose of this blog entry is for you to track back to it with regressions you have discovered going from 1.2 to 1.3. It would be especially helpful if you can test up front for whether this is a user agent bug (by spoofing as another browser), since changes in browser version numbers often cause regressions even when nothing is wrong with the browser itself.

The more clear and concise the reduction, the better the chances are that we can address the issue quickly (thus increasing the odds it can make it into a software update sooner rather than later).

Please include in these trackbacks only regressions from 1.2. If you included something in the earlier blog entry's comments section, please post it again as a trackback. Thanks!

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
