Impressions of a Young Mac Geek. Ellen Feiss, the star of Apple's Switch advertising campaign, was the subject of a look-alike contest in the Netherlands. See the gallery for the remarkable results. By Leander Kahney. [Wired News]

We always joke about how stoned she looks in the ads but her look alikes look even more <ebonics>tore up</ebonics>.

I wrote to Christina:

Concerning usability -

have you or anyone else ever written about selecting text on a page? More and more often I've been noticing that copy/paste is very difficult from blogs and other web sites.   Try out:

http://tidakada.com/ - text is virtually unselectable.

But Mr. Sullivan has it right:

http://www.andrewsullivan.com - easy to copy/paste whatever you want.

By the way, Andrew Sullivan has a book club.  Interesting titles, perhaps it will be worth it if a travel monger like myself attempts to keep up.  The book at the top of the list as I post, 'Why Orwell Matters', is definitely going to make it to my wishlist.

There is an interesting review in the Voice Literary Supplement on it which includes a quote from the book itself:

"George Orwell requires extricating from a pile of saccharine tablets and moist hankies; an object of sickly veneration and sentimental overpraise, employed to stultify schoolchildren with his insufferable rightness and purity." - Christopher Hitchens

Ah.. Mr Hitchens, you give us all pleasure.

Blogging Hitchens

Elizabeth and John both wrote  recaps on the "Why Orwell Matters" debate that included Christopher Hitchens, Andrew Sullivan, Michael Walzer and Vivian Gornick.  You can find Elizabeth's here and John's here.  Apparently it didn't go too well for Ms. Gornick...
