Innovation and risk taking.

Innovation and risk-taking: "I want to define educational technologists or educators that are willing to use technology in their classrooms as “risk-takers” or “innovators.” These are people who are willing to try something new without worrying if it will be a success or failure. They derive pleasure from playing with both new and old ideas and employing them in a variety of ways. These people are natural problem solvers."
Comment: From my experience with learners in a laptop program, I believe risk-taking is the most important skill in using technology. Those students who are willing to play and experiment consistently end up as the most capable learners (at least when learning with technology). To a degree, we should be fostering the willingness for learners to experiment and fail during the learning process.

Google tests out Click-to-Call AdWords  —  Google is apparently testing out click-to-call AdWords - I can't see it myself, but Seth just searched for 'refinance' and spotted some phone icons alongside the AdWords listings.  He entered his phone number and within five seconds received an automated phone call …

There was a lot of confusion in the marketplace prior to this, now we'll see the two products really evolve independently. MediaPost coverage.... [John Battelle's Searchblog]
