Lucky is tired.  Lucky missed two classes today, mostly because he has gone three times already this week, and it's only Thursday.  To his credit, though, he wasn't tired this morning because he got home at 3am.  He's tired because after he arrived home, he decided to do his Finance homework, which involved a few fun problems on portfolio risk management.  After finishing them, and retiring to bed in good spirits, confident that he would be well prepared should he be cold called in the morning, he awoke at 11am, midway through the second and final class of the day.  It's only the second class he has missed this year, but there is still no excuse.  Lucky did not come to France to miss classes.   1:22:43 PM    comment []

I haven't been writing about the war, because I don't really know what to say about it; you could say that I am deeply ambivalent.  But this article nicely captures why I think that ultimately the US is acting against its own long-term self-interest. 1:19:29 PM    comment []
