Quick recommends, part 2
NoteTab Pro is a replacement for the Windows Notepad, with dozens of supercharged features. It doubles as an HTML editor with the use of its Clipbook feature. It allows the user to open numerous text documents for editing, and to define a list of "favorites" for quick opening.
The Clipbook is a serious power user's tool. A predefined HTML library can be used to insert paired tags as an HTML document is being edited. The user can also define and use his own Clipbook libraries, to create documents from standard or boilerplate text. (I just completed one to generate answers to complaints in litigated cases.) The clip items can incorporate prompts and programmed items such as variables, for the creation of a sophisticated user interface. NoteTab users have created and submitted libraries to do such things as calculate mathematical expressions, find the elapsed time between two defined events, and the like.
NoteTab comes in three flavors -- the Light version is free, the Standard is $10, and the Pro version is $20.
Bonus recommend -- The author also offers the Mailbag Assistant, a very interesting tool to allow the user to view his e-mail outside the context of his e-mail client. This one is hard to describe, but very useful. Take advantage of the 30-day trial.
