While working on a survey with a fellow ITS employee we identified a bug with phpESP. When you use the !other option in a question it causes an error in the code when the survey is submitted.
After doing some quick research on the web this is an obvious bug that has not been resolved.
Who ever says that you can't find good support for open source should check again. In a matter of minutes we were able to identify the problem, determine it was in fact a bug, and devise a simple work around.
Some skeptics would suggest that the bug should be fixed. My response is that this is of such insignificance that it is not a problem. A few simple changes to the survey correct the issue and do not impact the functionality at all.
