Just watched 3 days of Condor - I remember reading the book (6 days...) at the Peelee Island Club in Canada.  The movie is pretty cool even now 30 years later.

Giving it away here... The CIA within the CIA is all about protecting US Oil interests.  Clearly a hot topic in 1975 just after the oil crisis of the early 70's.  Of secondary interest was the pre-AIDS way that sex was treated...  Clearly people who are lonely - reaching out for some intimacy and excitement in their lives, even if it is just for one night...

I always liked the way that Robert Redford's character could tap into the phone system - again back in the Ma Bell monolithic phone days - and no cell phones.

Due for a remake...
