Mirra chair.

Jessie Scanlon, who got me writing for Wired in 1997, turns in her first Slate piece with a look at Herman Miller's new Mirra chair. Now that the Aeron has been stigmatized as a symbol of dot-com excess, can the conspicuously price-conscious Mirra become an acceptable workplace perk? I sure hope so. My back isn't getting any younger.

(Actually I work at home, where the wife has me cozily snuggled into a Wendell Castle molar chair.)
