Michael Moore Is Back
Michael Moore, a Michigan native like myself, has another movie out, Bowling For Columbine.  When I saw Roger and Me I thought that some of the points he made in the movie were quite valid; however, his style of movie making was so disingenuous as to be sickening.  I don't know how good this movie is.  It's already getting great press.  However, the details mentioned in the Alternet write-up concerning an interview with Charlton Heston seems to indicate that he's back to that smug, "Oh isn't the conservative funny because he takes himself so seriously and he's so wrong" air of superiority that was so apparent through much of Roger and Me.

A Tragic Waste Of Young Life

This sort of thing just makes me sick.  A young man with a lot of talent and promise--a young man who truly had something good to add to the world, gunned down in cold blood. 

As if this story weren't tragic enough...

He was, say those who knew him, polite, nice and fond of returning from Minnesota's campus to Finney High School -- his alma mater -- to volunteer at athletic events during college breaks.

How very sad.
