October 30, 2002 ADEPT Meeting

ADEPT had its latest meeting on Wednesday, October 30. First, we welcomed the newest member of ADEPT and the Chicago Teachers' Center, Sheila Castillo! We then continued our discussion regarding the Draft Communications Plan which focused on how to make the connections between the things already being done more explicit and useful. The new SAT spells the end of IQ--and big changes for American education

Thanks to an unprecedented assault from the head of the University of California system, the College Board (the nonprofit organization that owns the SAT) has begun its biggest overhaul ever of the test.
