Just got a delivery from Amazon: Linux kernel Development. Something to read on the plane on my way to Bangkok tomorrow.

I am just back from Kuala Lumpur where I took a short holiday.
I went there flying business class on Singapore Airlines. I must say it's been disappointing: seat pitch was less than on Air Canada. Service was good but not stellar, food was good but I was expecting much better. What's going on?
I spent Thursday exploring aroung Kuala Lumpur. It was my 4th trip there but I always enjoy Kuala Lumpur. However this time it was a bit more "dangerous": there is a big increase in pick-pocketing and in drive-by purse-snatching my burglar in scooter. It kind'of ruin a bit of our feeling toward Kuala Lumpur: we focused more on protecting our belongings than admiring the city's vista.
On Friday/Saturday we went to Melaka. It is a nice colonial city with a lot of Dutch, Portugese and British influence. The historic core and the China Town are pretty and colourful. However, here too, we had to always pay attention to our belongings by fear of pick-pocketing. We bough some really nice craft there.
Sunday we visited the China Town of Kuala Lumpur. It is an interesting place but when you have lived in China for 3.5 years, it loose a bit of its exotism.
