ScientologyWatch.org: "Our immediate goal for this site is to present Scientology news, and encourage questions and comments on the stories that we include. The editors of the site are critics of Scientology, so the news stories chosen, as well as the editorial commentary, will reflect that. Feel free to submit news stories to us. We obviously can't/won't run every submission but we'll consider everything received." [Link via Politech > MetaFilter]

Mardi Gras Worldwide: "It's finally here. You're certainly familiar with the festivals in New Orleans and Rio, but what about Haiti, Germany, and Watertown, Tennesee? Also called Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras has ancient origins with links back to Lupercalia and other pre-Christian celebrations. Carnival translates as "farewell to the flesh," which speaks to the surrender of beloved things during the season of Lent." [MetaFilter]

In Finland this Tuesday is called "laskiaistiistai". People eath sweet buns with jam and cream fillings, and children go outside and race downhill in sledges. Today was a nice day, -5°C, sunny, and there was a little new snow on top of the old.

I have posted here earlier a list of my books available on the net in PDF format. Perhaps I should have posted a list of pointers to some shorter texts available on the net. In any case, some writings are listed in the About document of this weblog. And there is a list of book reviews (in Finnish) I have written. In any case, here is a list of recent net columns I have written for in IT magazine in Finland: These short columns are available to all readers, you don't have to be subscriber of the magazine. (But you may have to learn Finnish first.)
