Groovy stuff Jim! There's something quite refreshing about hiding all these complex APIs (JNDI, JDBC, JMS, EJB, JAXP, HTTP etc) behind really simple tags to glue stuff together. You can always drop down into traditional scripting languages (beanshell, javascript, jython, jacl etc) when you need to in Jelly but its good if you can try keep things as mostly declarative XML like your EJB example; then any XML tool can introspect your document and grok what you're doing.
