Printing The Yearbook
I have now obtained a few quotes from different publishers, not all in writing, but some rough ideas. The response from the publishers has been varied. As we are only looking to print a small volume of the books, big publishing firms would not be able to help us in this matter as they use large printers where the setup costs are very large, probably more than the value of the books themselves! The only worth while, and affordable way of printing the books is through a digital printer which has very little setup costs.
The difference in printing of the two, press printing and digital printing, is that with the press printing, a template for each page would have to be set up and used to create the page, however for digital printing; the printer takes the data straight from a PC to be printed.
I am currently asking for quotes from the companies on the following specifications:
- 80 Copies
- Hard Back / Soft Back
- 48 Pages Full Colour/Half Colour
