I've written before about Snow Crash, Neal Stephenson's great SF novel that introduced us to the Metaverse.  The Metaverse is an online world where you spend most of your leisure time (and money) and personalize your persona (avatar) with clothes, vehicles, etc.  It's a great read.

There are companies that are trying to create that metaverse experience.  There have been games like this for awhile - EverQuest and even The Sims - but now There is going for the Snow Crash Metaverse.

They have Therebucks for currency and you can outfit your avatar with namebrand threads and accessories - like virtual Nikes.

The question is, will people spend real dollars to buy Therebucks to buy cool stuff for their online persona?

Well it's that time of year again.  I just got my annual Browns season ticket renewal letter.  And tickets went up - again.  Sigh.

The most interesting part of the whole package is that there is not a single picture or mention of either Tim Couch or Kelly Holcomb.  Lots of pics of other guys - but nothing on either of the QBs.  Very interesting
