Today I got an e-mail from a viewer who identified himself as "Pissed."  Apparently he came across that spam that I had posted on this website in October which I had received by e-mail and found so intriguing.  Ever since I put that spam on my site I usually get about one or two hits a week from people searching for information about the offending company responsible for it, Internet Products Enterprises (at least that's who they identify themselves as in the spam).  Well, "Pissed" (who is an AOL user) used his incredible powers of logic to jump to the conclusion that since he had received the same spam in his Inbox and the spam was on my site that must mean that I had used this site to send it to him.  Here is the nice e-mail I got from him (her):

Pissed [1] sent this email to you through the Radio UserLand community server, re this page.

Get me off your Damn list. If you use my email address to mail one more mass spam mailing, you will be sued!!!!!

So, me being the nice guy that I am, I tried to e-mail Pissed so I could explain how cutting and pasting, and the Internet, and hyperlinking worked in an effort to show him the error of his ways.  To show him that unlike everything AOL has taught him, e-mail and the Web were two entirely different things.  Unfortunately, Pissed must be some sort of AOL guru because he knew how to block my e-mail address so my reply bounced.  So, dear readers, if you see me looking a little stressed out lately, know that it is due to my impending financial ruin at the hands of Pissed the CyberPlaintiff, who will sue my socks off with absolutely no cause :)

I better buy a nice suit before I have to show up in court to defend myself.
