The other day I was in Borders Music and spied a catchy-looking magazine with a picture of Victoria Williams and Mark Olson on the cover. The magazine was called Paste and was enclosed in plastic. Clearly visible through the plastic was a CD sampler with 21 songs. Notable on the label were songs by Wilco, Patty Griffin, Lost Dogs, and many other Americana artists. Some names were unknown to me. I took a chance and bought the magazine. WOW!! Great work and great music. Go to their website, http://www.pastemagazine.com/, and see what I am talking about.
