Friendship with Grace

THOUGHT: How do i maintain my sense of self-worth, yet not retaliate in indignation or retreat in silence when i am slighted by my brother or sister, my neighbor, my colleague, my friend?

WORD: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth." I Corinthians 13: 4-6 NIV

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. " Ephesians 4:32 NIV

DEED: Lord, help me to run to You when i am bruised, crawl when i am broken. Let me find within Your Body true ministers of Your love and forgiveness. And may their words flow from mouths that drink deeply of Your Spirit-driven river of Grace. And when my heart still yearns for retribution, help me to drink deeper still. Amen.
