Thinking about software

SBC: Abbott Joseph Liebling once said "Freedom of the press is guaranteed only to those who own one", to that I would like to add - and provided the press works.

SCB refers to Radio. I’ve talked about my painful experiences with Radio and the time I’ve spent trying to fix it. Why am I still around?

It’s interesting how many people (me including) stick around with crappy weblog software for much long than their usual tolerance limit. In addition to the usual costs of switching critical software (time, risk, money) weblogging software is more difficult to throw away because of one simple reason: your URL. The thought of invalidating all those links to my weblog just goes against my understanding of what a weblog is. This means I’m pretty much stuck paying Dave my 40$ every year – even only to maintain redirect instruction to some other URL.

PS: I while ago Dave introduced his readers to the wonders of google bombing.

I wonder (crappy weblog software) if this technique (crappy weblog software) could be used to send messages (crappy weblog software) to software developers who don’t listen to their customers (crappy weblog software). J
