R.I. government site hacked, credit card numbers stolen. Hackers who broke into the official Rhode Island state government Web site late last month stole 4,117 credit card numbers, according to New England Interactive, the company that manages the site. [Computerworld News]

UK Government Book on Global Meltdown


UK Government Predicts Global Meltdown. The Greenland ice sheet will almost certainly melt, according to a new book published by the UK government today. The BBC is running this as today's main headline. [kuro5hin.org] The British government has some elements that are more seriously scientific. Interesting what the UK government publishes, in contrast with the US government's publishing--a project when and if I have some time.

On another subject, I haven't moved Experimental Space to a new machine and different OS, because too many practical things needed to get done during the recent weeks. I may move to the domain ExperiSpace.com.
