It's been a strange couple of months for my family. We're OK, but for this years' solstice dinner (my 33rd) I wrote this very unpublishable triolet:
Winter Solstice 2005
Whatever's lost, just let it go!
The sun turns back to us tonight.
What might have been we'll never know;
Whatever's lost, just let it go
With the cold and dark and drifting snow
And share this meal with shared delight.
Whatever's lost, just let it go,
For the sun turns back to us tonight.
