Toner Case: Ruling Favors Lexmark. A federal judge issues a preliminary injunction against a North Carolina company, prohibiting it from making or selling computer chips that allow generic toner cartridges to be used in Lexmark printers. [Wired News]

Seems at least some people are getting it right, problem is, here in Europe everything takes a lot longer (EU states are trying to get a kind of DMCA into national legislation). Worse yet, the Eurocrats and politicians in general tend to ignore findings from abroad, they want to create high-paid working groups to come to the obvious conclusions, after five to ten years of plushy traveling, of course.

To clarify the last entry, I'm fighting with emagic's Logic Audio on a DOS box, can't wait to switch to OS X (I'm trying to find the money for a 12" Powerbook). The software is great, making music on Windoze sucks!
