Is Cnet really just a sock-puppet of Redmond or how are we supposed to judge the headline At Web sites, Windows outpaces Linux? One more news source going down the drain, after all? If you read further (actually a lot further) down, about 8.000 hosts seem to have migrated to Windows 2003. Big deal, PHBs are popping up in bigger numbers since mediocricity seems to rule the companies, eager to run the IT-shops either from India or by the cheapest available domestic labour force.
CNN managed to piss me off earlier this year by faithfully airing RIAA slogans uncommented in one of their shows, no wonder Ted Turner refuses to be associated with the company any more (just to explain the 'one more news source' above).

On a more personal note, I got a new cellphone last week. It got a nice OS (Symbian), Java, a camera and a keypad that needs to get used to ;-). You guessed right it's a Nokia.
On the other hand, I usually read a weblog from Japan every morning called KoKoRo and based on the information I'm getting there, we are living in the, let's be polite, Iron Age (started around 1200 B.C.) of telecommunication in the rest of the world.

Daring Fireball continues to flag the things I don't understand about the OS X Finder here. Why drop the Creator code in the first place?? A lot of people are trying to get new types of filesystems working, that actually use Metadata to find/classify files.
Finally there is logging in HFS+, the only thing that's hard to understand is the ignorance for case ;-)
