Inexplicably, we’re almost finished with 2002 and still don’t have the universal canvas that people keep referring to. Instead, we have a proliferation of solutions for html writing doohickeys that are far from being universal: they typically work or work best on wintel. There is, however, a promising lead.
Loquo being a writing environment that encourages self expression can’t live with a plain html textarea. So I’m betting on Interative Tool's htmlarea widget, mainly because of its own merits, but also because there appears that a user community around the tool is taking shape. I’m actively trying to suggest improvements in their forums and so far, the debate is intelligent and constructive. There is also hope that Netscape/Mozilla will soon implement the IE HTML editing area facility. We shall see.
Creo que con vistas a ahorrar mi tiempo (no se si el de los lectores) voy a tener que escribir temas relacionados con la informática en inglés, mi segunda lengua y reservar para el castellano las temas más importantes.
