About the semantic web ... and it's finding ...

Saturday, January 04, 2003

Well just in case you wondered, I've been slaving away for Speak To Me Catalog. The big story this past season should not have been that retailers had a dissappointing Christmas, but rather that eTailers had a kick ass explosion. I mean, we're just a little mom and pop store, but our online orders increased nearly 100% over last year ... thanks mostly to Google and Amazon's beta test. It takes some concentration to cope with that kind of growth ... soo many transactions ... but it showed us where we need to improve ... primarialy email notification of orders on hold and shipment tracking. So in the middle of shipping what seemed like zillions of , I implemented customer support emails. I guess I accomplished something ... although I kind of kept dreaming about the semantic web .... hey why not eCommerce on the semantic web ... woops that just slipped out.
