Japan skipped the check writing step in personnel banking and went from cash to automatic bank transfers. I would say 80 to 90 percent of our monthly bills are automatic payments. It is really convenient, but you do need to check closely the bills with the payments. We have never had a problem, but like any system mistakes can be made.
