Guide to Free Statistical Software and Resources I really like some of the old-fashioned, no-frills resource sites like this one (which are often just categorized lists) that are created and maintained by one person, just out of a devotion and fascination with the subject. The full title of this site is "The Impoverished Social Scientist's Guide to Free Statistical Software and Resources." The site is maintained by Micah Altman at Harvard University. Also consult his "The Impoverished Social Scientists Guide to Data Resources." Each listed item is briefly described to help users choose which ones to examine.
