If you get the Science Channel you might want to check out this program about the recent South Asian tsunami, which will be starting momentarily. I caught it when I was up way too late the other night and I'm going to watch it again now that I'm a bit more awake. It will be repeated three more times this weekend.
Among other things, it details efforts made by scientists to notify authorities in affected areas. As we all know, the warnings never got to most of the people who needed to hear, but it was good to see that the best efforts possible were made.
