Okay, I do understand that election returns are a priority for tv news, even though I just plain don't watch them. (I prefer to check the newspaper the next morning to see how things come out.) Well, tonight it's election return time in British Columbia. Since I don't even live in the same country, I'm less interested than usual. My question was "When will tonight's Doctor Who episode be shown?"
I was trusting that CBUT wasn't just planning on skipping TARDIS time altogether but their website was severely non-helpful. (How hard would it have been to just put a little notice on that front page while they're updating election headlines?!) So on I went to the Contact page and found a phone number for Audience Relations. That sounded promising, in spite of it being long distance. Sure enough. The recording promptly told me that the Doctor and Rose will be seen on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Okay, I got the info I wanted with a minimum of hassle, but my phone bill will be about a dollar higher than it should be just because another tv station can't be bothered to do the obvious and list programming changes clearly on the front page of their site.
