This is the fourth painting in a series I am doing featuring Robot Guy. In this scene, Robot Guy is rendered in red hues against a dark background. The red tones on his body are muted with layers of tinted varnish, contrasting with his bright red eyes. He's really mad. What's he got to be mad about? Maybe he's been watching the news lately. Maybe he just had to fill up the robot mobile with gas. Or maybe someone cut him off in traffic one too many times. Whatever it is, Robot guy has reached the boiling point.
"I work mostly in oils, and occasionally in acrylics. My subjects vary from cats to people to still life to landscape to whatever weird thing pops into my head. My most recent work explores the combination of unexpected images to create context, and to force the viewer to create context where none is readily apparent. I have sold hundreds of paintings on eBay, and my work is in collections all over the world. I am listed with Art in America.
