Kreg Yingst's first book, The Magic Show in 52 Linocuts, presents all of his magic linoleum cuts in black and white
Kreg Yingst's first book, The Magic Show in 52 Linocuts, presents all of his magic linoleum cuts in black and white. Divided into two categories, close-up and stage illusions, Yingst reveals the real and imaginary workings of the illusions. The blockprints are unique and original, while still suggesting a relationship to early 20th century magic catalogue illustrations. The book contains an introduction and methodology by the artist, as well as a preface by author/artist Kurt Webb and 2002's Magician of the year, Scott Wells.
A limited edition hardback with cover print is available through the artist's website www.kregyingst.com, or a paperback edition can be purchased through amazon.com, borders.com, barnesandnoble.com, or lulu.com.
