EditX 2.1 and XML "development"

During my Holland trip last week I visited Q42 and talked with Kars about XML "development" and pipelines. (I'll write more about it in a trip report.) I was thinking of this conversation when looking at EditX, which has one feature the oXygen lacks: an XML comparison mode for visualizing the difference between two documents.

It's very interesting to see the rapid innovation in all these XML "IDEs" and the emergence of XML as a programming architecture. A few months ago, Infoworld posted their annual developer survey, showing that mainstream developers now consider XML (86%) to be the primary architecture.
