Infrae gives us XML for Zope

Yesterday Infrae made the first release of an XML document type for Silva. Martijn has been working on this project, and the related lxml project for giving a Pythonic binding to libxml2, for several months.

If you want XML in Zope, then contribute to this project. Even better, if you need it for client work or other reasons, pay Infrae and accelerate the features. Since much of Martijn's work is at the Python and Zope 3/2.8 layer, Infrae can help you whether it is Silva, Plone, CPS, CMF, or pure Zope that you need.

As Martijn pointed out on his weblog, this work is a culmination of a lot of work and ideas at Infrae: Silva, Five, lxml, and Kupu:

We're innovators, head in the sky but our feet firmly on the ground: we know to leverage existing standards and software where possible, but also know how to build new stuff where needed. I'm quite proud of Infrae, both the team and the software we created. We'd love to build more so don't hestitate to contact us!

I also am very impressed by what Infrae has done and is likely to do. Once again, I highly recommend that Zope companies contact Infrae about this. Find out more about what's happening.
