Plone/Zope talks in Japan in March

The week of March 19 I have been invited by Makoto Sekikawa of the OSCAR Alliance to visit Japan for a series of events on Plone, Zope, and open source.  This trip is sponsored by the prefecture of Aomori and was made possible by my friend Takeshi Yamamoto, a well-known figure in Plone and Zope circles.

Re-scheduled ZPUGDC talk: Mar 6 with Philipp

A couple of weeks ago, I was scheduled to give a talk at ZPUGDC about Plone 3. Alas, I spent 1.3 hours sitting on a train platform on the coldest day of the year, waiting for an Amtrak train that was 2.2 hours late.  And thus, I missed the talk.

Alex Clark has generously allowed me to mulligan it and re-schedule.  Thus, I'm talking on Mar 6.  This actually works out well:
  • Plone 3 will be a lot better to show
  • I will have done the extra work from my FOSDEM talk
  • Best of all, Philipp von Weitershausen will be in town and agreed to give a Grok talk

FOSDEM Interview

This Sunday I will be in Brussels at to give a talk on Plone 3.  The conference did some interviews of speakers in advance.  In my interview, I talk about Zea Partners and Python/Zope/Plone.

For my talk, I plan to spend a couple of days later this week, after the UI sprint that wraps up tomorrow, doing screencasts to guide my talk.
